The South Carolina rapper/producer showcases his vocal range on this love wrapped EP. Major begins the EP with “1st lady”, where he raps to a woman who has been hurt by past relationships, assuring her that he can change her perspective on love: “Relationships you shouldnt have to suffer/If he could then he would/You know I would like lumber”. “Unleaded Love” finds Childish Major crooning over a beat that teases a jersey beat kick pattern without going full blown club. On “I Still Love H.E.R.”, Major comes to the realization that he’d rather be with his old girl after seeing what the dating world is like, singing “I'm not what the games been missing/ I realize I need you now”. Major caps off the short EP with “The Vinyl”, a fantasy ballad that exists in a world where it is being played at and danced to at weddings; Major even mentions the “four on the floor” rhythmic pattern throughout the song. Although your summer fling may come to an end, you can still enjoy this sweet offering while thinking about them until February comes around.
