Fousheé continues to navigate wherever her heart desires in her new album “Pointy Heights”. The singer-songwriter isn't afraid to dip her toes into a multitude of genres across this fun album. On “100 bux” Fousheé blends Grunge and R&B into a ballad detailing recovering from a wild night of partying, with her soft vocals gliding between dark guitar chords and moody bassline. On the very next track, Fousheé hops on a groovy beat harkening back to the days of disco on “loversland”. Just a few tracks later on “War”, Fousheélanguishes a life of conflict on top of an old-timey piano instrumental that a cowboy would hear in a Saloon in the Wild West. Fousheé has a talent for transforming the old into modern jams.
The 10-track album comes in at just under 30 minutes, lending it replay value from top to bottom. “Pointy Heights” is concise and a refreshing amalgamation of alternative and R&B.
